I am a knitter who learned from my grandmother, put the needles down for a while, then picked it back up a few years ago. I also am interested in sewing, I started spinning and weaving, and I have a number of other craft projects that I try at least once.
As a side note to my crafty endeavors, I teach high school biology, would consider becoming a professional chef if I can’t make a living knitting, love to read, am trying to become more than a poser on my mountain bike, and my husband and I are increasing our family.
I am perfectly capable of reading directions, however I like to try to wing it, whether in my knitting, while cooking, or in my day-to-day life activities. Hence, who needs gauge?!
